How EECP Therapy Works

Non- Invasive Treatment

EECP Therapy is the top non-invasive treatment for angina, coronary artery disease, shortness of breath due to Long COVID, and heart failure. It is proven, based on 400+ clinical publications, to benefit patients without procedural risks or rehab time.

Treatment starts by lying down on a therapy table, where compression cuffs (similar to blood pressure cuffs) are wrapped around your lower hips, thighs, and calves. Then, using an EKG machine, it regulates the inflation and deflation of cuffs in rhythm with your heart.

  • Increased Energy

The improved blood flow to the heart as a result of EECP can lead to an increase in oxygen and nutrient delivery to the body's tissues and organs, which can improve overall energy levels. Be ready and energized for life’s best surprises.

  • Non-Invasive and Cost-Effective

Many patients find comfort in EECP because it does not involve surgery and has a low risk of complications. Additionally, EECP is a cost-effective treatment option compared to invasive procedures such as surgery, and results can last for years.

Learn more about EECP Therapy

  • During EECP Therapy, patients recline on a cushioned table with specialized cuffs (like blood pressure cuffs) wrapped around their lower legs, thighs, and hips.

While the heart is in its dormant phase, these cuffs inflate in a specific order from the lower legs towards the hips. Right before the heart beats, the cuffs deflate. This pressure simulates exercise- providing all parts of your cardiovascular system with vital oxygenated blood while you're at rest.

It may feel a bit strange at first, but most patients adapt quickly, and our dedicated staff is there to support you every step of the way.

  • 35 Treatments to Improve the Next 5 Years of Your Life

EECP Therapy involves 35 one-hour EECP sessions, which take place 5 days a week over 7 weeks of therapy. Though it may seem like a lot, our 25 years of experience have shown that the majority of our patients complete the full course successfully, and you can too!

Studies have demonstrated that the benefits of EECP Therapy can last between three and five years following treatment. Additionally, our friendly and professional staff make the weeks fly by.

  • Increased Oxygenation

When your heart is not receiving enough oxygenated blood due to issues like blocked arteries, it can cause symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or fatigue.

    Development of New Blood Vessels

One of the key outcomes of EECP Therapy is known as collateral recruitment, which refers to the widening and formation of small blood vessels in the heart muscle. These new vessels improve the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart.

    Creation of Natural Bypasses

Remarkably, these small collateral blood vessels act as "natural bypasses" around narrowed or blocked arteries, restoring blood flow, reducing symptoms associated with heart disease, and increasing the amount of oxygenated blood reaching the heart. Each treatment leaves you stronger and healthier.
